User Interface |
The QiD user interface is powerful, flexible and attractive. This is just what you need when dealing with complex projects that involve multiple result sets, metadata on large database structures, multiple job execution, help information and all of the other things that you must be able to see and manipulate. Toolbars, Menus and Keyboard ShortcutsQiD uses all of the standard Windows application methods to provide convenient and quick access to its many features. These methods include:
Docking PanelsVarious tools and information views appear in ‘panels’. These can be expanded or contracted, docked in different positions around the work surface or floated above it. Panels can be set to auto-hide when not in use. Toolbars can be similarly positioned and customised. Your preferred layouts can be saved and restored, allowing you to switch between the best arrangements for different tasks.
Appearance StylesThe overall appearance of QiD is subtle and attractive. You can tailor the look and feel to a traditional Windows 98 / 2000 / XP or Office 2003 style. Alternatively, QiD provides a number of ‘skins’ that provide a range of attractive alternatives to the standard Microsoft styles.
